In Part 1 of our company history, you learned how WINKLER TECHNIK evolved from its foundation in 1904 through to the late 1990s. Here is the continuation of our story.
At the turn of the millennium, the fourth generation joined the family business. Saskia Winkler, who graduated in Business Management (VWA), joined the company in 1999 and took responsibility for national and international sales. Alexander Winkler, also a graduate in Business Management (VWA), joined the family business in 2000 and was initially responsible for finance, human resources and information technology. From the very beginning, two generations of the Winkler family worked side by side to drive the company forward.
In 2004, WINKLER TECHNIK celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Veronika Winkler, wife of Alexander Winkler, has supported the finance and HR departments since 2006.
Since 2011, Dr. Wolfram Winkler, Alexander Winkler and Saskia Winkler have jointly shared responsibility for the management of the company, ensuring continuity into the fourth generation of the family business.
In 2014, “Original U-Schiene U-Rail” became a registered trademark.
In 2015, Saskia Winkler left WINKLER TECHNIK GmbH to begin working as a business coach.
Since 2016, Alexander Winkler has been leading WINKLER TECHNIK GmbH as CEO, supported increasingly by his wife Veronika Winkler in the areas of finance and human resources.
WINKLER TECHNIK was awarded the “TOP 100” quality seal as one of Germany’s most innovative medium-sized companies in 2011 and again in 2018.
